The HOA Boot Camp is the premier annual homeowners' conference hosted by Georgia HOA Alliance and its strategic partners. The first HOA Boot Camp was in 2015 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Over 500 homeowners representing six counties and hundreds of HOAs attended this one day conference. WAOK Mary Gill, Real Estate 101 host, was the luncheon keynote speaker. Real Estate and Lawyers were able to obtain continuing education credit hours. The Exhibit Hall showcased vendors representing an array of services offered to associations and homeowners. The theme for the 2017 HOA Boot Camp was Rebuilding Our Communities; the luncheon's keynote was Doug Hooker, Executive Director of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC). Panels included topics such as Regional and Local Economic Development, Safer Communities, Parliamentary Rules/Law, Nonprofits 101, Code Enforcement vs Covenant Enforcement, and Self-Manage vs Management Company. This year's GA HOA Boot Camp theme is #MyCommunityMatters. Keynote Speaker will be Clyde Higgs, Interim CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc.
